Dunlop GP Racer D211

The rear tyre uses 7 zones of compound and N-TEC construction, permitting use of very low pressures for very high levels of track grip. The front tyre uses 3 compound zones.
The GP Racer D211 is still an excellent high performance street tyre with very good levels of wet grip, stability and tread life.

Dunlop Sportsmart

Developed from Dunlop’s D211 GP race tyre, MultiTread blends durable rubber in the centre of the tread with a softer, more ‘grippy’ compound on the tyre shoulders for flowing, consistent cornering even at extreme lean angles. A tread pattern with deeper central grooves is designed to improve performance in the wet; Dunlop says it gives the SportSmart outstanding straight-line traction and consistently excellent all-weather handling characteristics. Dunlop Qualifier RR

The Qualifier RR is Dunlop's new Supersport Road tyre. Developed from 209GP race tyres which have won British Supersport and IOM TT races, modified for road use with better high speed stability and wet grip this is the latest tyre for the road and trackday rider. Dunlop Qualifier

Dunlop have won a lot of championships but since the D207, haven't really had a road tyre that's been at the top of the pile. They aim to change that with the Qualifier fitted as OE to bikes like the 2006 R6 and ZX10R, they've had rave reviews, and won 2006's first major tyre comparison, in Sport Rider magazine, in the USA. Maybe it's time to try Dunlop again?
